Teleport Pads for Second Life

Teleport pads allow you to move short distances in Second Life. You can specify the target x, y and z, and your avatar will be placed there. This is a user contributed video, I did not make it, though it is based on code from Scripting Recipes for Second Life. It is very well done and I am sure it enjoy it. It was created by Mike Lively of Northern Kentucky University.

Jet Bands in Second Life

Building Jet Packs in Second Life

Jet Packs can be very useful in Second Life. A jet pack allows you to fly much higher than Second Life normally allows. Creating Simple Cars in Second Life

This video shows how to create simple cars in Second Life. I will take you step by step as a car is built. A script will be added to the car. This script is shown below. In this video I show how to set the root prim, create proper wheels and finally, add the script to the car.

Ferris Wheels in Second Life

This ferris wheel was one of my first creations in Second Life that used the Linden Scripting Language. The somewhat tricky part is to keep the cars upright as the wheel spins. This takes a little basic trig, but is not too hard. This is my first YouTube production, and is mostly meant to allow me to get used to moving Second Life content into YouTube. I hope to provide video tutorials for some of my book's material. Stay tuned!
